Is it worth it to buy a cheap tablet?

The promotion chasing promotion, prices fall and the appetite for shopping is growing. But not everyone overpriced hardware is actually noteworthy – and now particularly easy to make a mistake. Therefore, before you put the tablet into a cart, consider the decision twice. A previously read this guide.

It is easy to buy a tablet when you have a four budget – more expensive models do not have such shortcomings in the technical specifications as the device with the lowest shelf. Price reduction has consequences and you need to be aware selecting equipment for "pennies". Tablets costing less than 300 zlotys is a dime a dozen – you'll find them in supermarkets, online auctions and larger consumer electronics stores. Tablets with a screen 7 "

Sorting the cheapest deals tablets shop encounter various brands (eg. NTT, Lark, Cavion or Pentagram), which are rarely reviewed and hard before buying foresee what in their midst is hidden. All of these devices have the Android system, and the practice shows that only gigabyte of RAM provides satisfactory refinement of the system. How this translates into the user experience? Menu worked more smoothly and is less likely that a web browser will be suspended. The second thing – built-in memory. It should be at least 8 GB, because they still occupies part of the system and some applications available in Google's store additional data freely choose which (if it can be sent to a memory card) does not "fit" in the device.

If you do not regret the choice really should make for a better device – and sometimes just 100-150 zł more to buy the device offers superior functionality. For example, I managed to find today such models as Lark Evolution X2 7 3G-GPS (from 269 zł), Kiano Slimtab 7 3GR (approx. 299 zł) or Toshiba Excite AT7- C8 (approx. 259 zł), which is of particular interest due to the mounting arrangement Intel. The processor can rozwlekać without end, but simplifying, even inexpensive tablet will run most applications and games, but you have to adjust to a lower framerate or intermittent problems with compatibility. This risk can not be avoided if you do not want to go to the budget beyond the limit of 500 zł. Sure, there are exceptions, as mentioned model of Toshiba's HD 7001 or Modecom IC that meets not only the pre-defined requirements, but also to be advised of his games and sold at a price of approx. 240 zł. But this is only the exceptions. Usually not worth suggesting to the same diagonal, because it is also important resolution – so that among the 7-inch models will find mostly matrices having panels 1024 by 600 pixels, because below this value even the cheapest brands try not to descend. The second aspect is a display technology. Usually, cheap models show roughly the same level in this field, but from my observations on the plus comes out here Lenovo TAB2 A7-10F (approx. 300 zł).

Tablets with screen 8 "

The larger screen size, the higher the price the tablet, but you can still find an 8-inch models costing less than 300 zł! What does the so small amount? Again, with a small working memory, which especially in the case of models with Windows can cause problems with proper refinement of the device. These types of tablets will have a rule one of inexpensive Intel chips (usually a variant of the Atom Z3735) that can handle with support for web browser and simple applications. However, make sure there is enough RAM!

Most often you can find models with one gigabyte of memory, for example. Lark Ultimate 8i WIN (approx. 299 zł), Allview WI7 (279 zł), Adax Handy 8E116 (339 zł) or Colorovo CityTab Supreme 8 " (359 zł). Technical parameters of these models are fine, if not 1-gigabyte main memory and internal disk capacity of only 16 GB. In For Windows it's really not much, because the system itself is quite a lot of space. If you want to install programs from the store for Microsoft that are adapted to the touch interface, but end up in the internal memory of the tablet, the memory may fill up quickly. The tablet with Windows better secure more space for data – at least 32GB, allowing for seamless updating the system and drivers. For this reason it is worth, for example, to pay extra to Kiano SlimTab 8 Pro MS: it will cost around 500 zł, but you can expect a little more from such a model. When it comes to overall performance and the quality of the screen, regardless of the price of seeing virtually the same parameters – matrix with a resolution of 1280 by 800 pixels.

A similar performance can be expected by the models working based on Android, but even here the voice of reason tells us not to go below certain standards. Good tablet, or having a sufficiently large main memory will cost from 400 to even 649 zł, but here much it is easier to model that meets the basic criteria. Such is the example. Lark X4 8 IPS (299 zł), GoClever Insignia 800M or Kiano Intelect 8 3G (approx. 400 zł).

Tablets with a screen 9.7 – 10.1 "

You will also find the entire spectrum of affordable tablet with a screen diagonal of 10.1 ", but here the price range is much greater: from 339 to 799 zł where you should immediately draw a certain limit. The first reasonable models with large screen already buy for the amount of PLN 499 – devices usually have a resolution at 1280 by 800 pixels, which, given the large diagonal can no longer disturb (certainly not worth descend below). In everyday practice, such a model can be more functional than 100 gold more expensiveGoClever Insignia 1010W which has included keyboard and is based on Windows, so in theory would have nothing to do home computer, if you will need for simple applications – unfortunately, this model has only 16 GB of internal memory and a gigabyte of memory, which, as previously explained, it may be problematic. In the case of the tablet with a screen 10 "is good to suggest a resolution – best to choose the Full HD because this will allow for comfortable Internet browsing and better check if you are using multimedia. One of the less expensive models offering these criteria is Kiano Intelect 10 (699 zł), which has not mentioned yet another asset – a very nice housing made of glass and aluminum. Although it is not cheap, it might be a better choice for aesthetes and multimedia freaks. Kiano Intelect also seems to be a good option because of the mounted an Intel Atom Z2580, which copes in games, while the majority of the budget tablets runs on less powerful processors. Paying extra more you can no longer count already much more fun goodies for example. Stereo speakers Lenovo A10-70F where it already costs about 749 dollars. If you want to limit yourself to a smaller amount you have to compromise.

Tablet with online auctions?

Online auction you can find a real mish-mash of inexpensive tablet, which mostly come from unspecified sources and do not know exactly, what are the components, what is their quality and warranty. Łakomiąc on the tablet for 99 zł you may find that you will double lossy if you need to repair the device. It is better to pay extra little bit more, but be sure to have guarantees in Polish store.
