Apple’s annual Worldwide Developer Conference is just a few days away. This year, the Cupertino Company is expected to introduce the latest software updates to iOS, tvOS, watchOS and macOS, like what they did last year. There have been a lot of rumors hinting at new updates and even hardware arriving at this year’s event.
iOS 11 is undoubtedly the centerpiece of this year’s event. Last year, Apple unveiled iOS 10 with tons of new features and changes. iOS 11 might not be a significant software to the operating system, but it will likely change how you use your iPhone, iPhone and iPod Touch.
In this post, we will walk you through five features we’d like to see in Apple’s upcoming iOS version.

Better Siri
Apple has been busy working on improving its personal virtual, Siri for years, expanding its usefulness just beyond being able to set reminders, show weather forecasts and get questions to answer. However, there are times when Siri fails to work or cannot catch what you are trying to say.
In iOS 11, Apple’s personal helper, Siri is expected to get better voice recognition and Google Search support. According to tech analysts, Siri in iOS 11 may include the ability to read and interact with text messages, just like Google Assistant.
Automation Tools
In March 2017, Apple acquired Workflow, a powerful automation app for iPhone and iPad. Basically, Workflow allows you to create a variety of workflows to perform complex tasks. According to sources, Apple will likely make workflow an essential part of iOS 11, allowing users to automate tasks between apps on their iPhone and iPad.
Better multi-tasking for iPad
One of the greatest additions to iOS 9 was Split View multitasking. Basically, the feature allows users to run two apps side by side. This means that you can answer emails or browse through Facebook News Feed while watching a video. However, multi-tasking feature has not seen a big update since then.

Apple is expected to improve multitasking experience on the iPad. Sources say that users will be able to drag pieces of content from one app to another while in multi-tasking mode. Apple is believed to debut a 10.5 inch iPad Pro with bezel-free design, so it seems plausible that multitasking will get an overhaul to make the most of the new iPad’s screen.
Customizable Control Center
Control Center in iOS 10 is making it harder for users to toggle Bluetooth, WI-Fi and control music playback. In iOS 10, the Control Center is no longer a single card stocked with the toggles and switches, as there are now three different panels. In iOS 11, Apple may allow users to add and remove the toggles and switches. Let’s wait and see.
Dark mode
Dark mode is one of the most anticipated features on iOS. In reality, Apple was widely rumored to include Dark mode in iOS 10, however it was nowhere to be found at launch. Dark mode is believed to change some system elements on iPhone and iPad like Settings, Mail and Notes for easier nighttime use.
